Dear Medical Office Manager or Physician;
Where do you find the time to do the necessary research to make responsible choices on your computer software and hardware needs? What about all these regulations on HIPAA, how do you find time to stay current and still attend to patients that are your number one obligation?
If yours is like most doctor's office, you have carefully juggled your schedule to create a couple of valuable hours to get on the internet to find a direct solution to a particular problem. Then you spend those couple of hours and several more and get inundated with so much information. You ask yourself why this couldn’t be easier. Why? Because the internet is a great sea of resources and sometimes without a proper compass, it is difficult to get to your desired destination.
I hope Operations-Management-in-Healthcare will be that compass for you. To enable you come to your own conclusions by bringing the information you need to a manageable size so you are able to read it for yourself and come to a decision that is right for your practice. You went through medical school and are acquainted with computers, the problem here is that there are over 400 software packages out there so where do you begin to look to make the right choice for you? I will help you narrow down the options so that you are able to quickly and more efficiently spend your time in making the right choice for you.
Here is what I will do for you at this web site:
- I will read the reviews and reports and visit online discussion groups on medical computing
- based on my findings, I will list the top ten or twelve practice and EMR softwares most recommended
- I will navigate the maze of web sites of the recommended software companies ahead of you
- I will tell you how to reach the information you desire from their web sites and steer you away from where there are difficulties
- I will place the names and links to the recommended software companies’ web sites in one place (see below)
- you can check out the most recommended software companies in a relatively shorter time than you would typing in all their URL's (web addresses) or reading individual reports
- you get the benefit of a quick navigation
- I am independent of the software companies and my loyalty is to you
- I present the information about the software companies at absolutely no cost or obligation to you and no pressure to buy any particular software
- you make your own choice of software company
- In addition, I present several other resources that are invaluable to a medical practice - all at no cost or obligation to you. Be sure to visit our "Other Resources" page or click here
- I will bring you current information on HIPAA. Be sure to avail yourself of the HIPAA report available on this site and subscribe to our very informative FREE Newsletter
Admittedly there are other sites that provide extensive reports on medical software. But these reports and comparisons charts are extensive and pricey which means you will have to wade through all that material with no guarantee that the features you are looking for are covered. Then you still have to contact the software company. Most doctors I have talked with would just prefer to shop for their own software if the choices are narrowed down to a few.
So go ahead right now, click on the links below and learn first-hand who the top medical software companies are and be linked directly to their home pages then come to your own conclusions which one is right for you.
Regards,
~Christiana
